| Down In The Dumps |
| It is the 4th day now that I am without any power!!! Due to the
horrific snow and ice storm that put over 500,000 without lg&e
sending many to shelters, hospitals etc. The roads have been turned
into ice skating arenas and the houses feel like iglus. But I have been
fortunate being able to have heat and hot food via gas stove and lights
via the flickering flames of my candles. Lol.... it could be worse
right? Right...... But I see it as a wakeup call that we as americans
are spoiled, greedy, and too unprepared for disasters... everything I
use requires electricity and now that its off im sending this blog only
by the remaining battery life of my cell phone which I charged at work
which is only standing by generators. Which by the way in 4 days they
have spent over 7k in fuel!!!! Just imagine when something like this
happens and you can't just walk to your brothers house for power
because he and everyone else is out too... we rely too much on things
that are privlaged to us... just something to think about even if u r
reading this from your computer in the heat while your watching a
chance of love reunion.... Shout out to my therapist!! And praises to
almighty and most powerful Jesus |
