Bowl of Fruit

Your face
Turns dark
A shadow on the wall
Hides from view
I miss the sight
Of love
The scent of morning dew
Dust fills the room
Paintings hang
Upside down
Fruit sits quietly
In a bowl
Waiting...

To be eaten

Wings

Light
And it's depth
Of endless treasures
Life
Blossoming
With it's many layers
Of wings
That call to me
take flight
take flight

Dream
Into being
Happiness
Of a garden
Planted with seeds
Of joy

Courting

We walk

hand in hand

oblivious to the shadow

courting the synergy of

what has always been there

a sure smile

A lover’s symphony

I spoke

 to your heart

for it called me

with it’s brave intensity

and in passing months

I swam

 it’s deep ocean

You spoke

to my heart

for it called you

It’s own

rising of desire

And love’s breath

The light has come
To cast away the shadows
In time’s remaining hands
All that was left undone
Becomes a finished chore

Dancing into the light
Of remembrance
Of who I am
My sacredness
A key I have turned
Unlocking
My worthiness
With timid hands
That forgot
How to shine

The shadows barely there
Anymore
As they come
Into the light
To merge
Into wholeness

As Timeless As Creation Bring joy To this table My worn out heart Tired from Disappointments Bad choices Wrong turns Accepts This face As its own Bring love To this room Mending What was broken by time Reconciling false beliefs With the magic Of its touch The softness of its reach Bring laughter To this home Uplifting views Of serious disdain Releasing illusions Inviting life in though Doors that were closed By harsher lessons of life Bring light In its purest form The dance of the soul The flight of the heart An embrace As timeless as creation

Jewels of Awe at Amazon and borders

Jewels of Awe is about my journey of life, love and learning. It is intimate, heartbreaking, sad, happy, about loss, falling in love, loving and the journey of a woman. The process of writing poetry brought me a new intimacy with my own spirit. I learned who I am through the years of writing my poetry

A New Earth

I have signed up for and am taking the class with Oprah and reading the book A New Earth.

This book resonates with me on so many levels and my poetry which is also spiritual in nature reflects the same sense or take on life as viewed in this book.

I absolutely love it!

I highly recommend this book for people to read.

It is packed with many jewels and gems and is another item for my treasure chest.

When he talks about evolve or die as a collective, I personally went through that sort of shift in my own life in the past 2 years and at times resist that same shift and other times fly through the door. I have noticed for a few years now that sense of awe that Oprah and Eckhart talk about. I noticed it first with water coming out of my faucet. I had been starting this major transformation at that time about 2 years ago and some months after much inner work and tenacious prayer and meditation I noticed a new appreciation for life emerging from me that sprung forth a feeling of enchantment where everything seemed more magical, more beautiful, more sensual, more ALIVE! It is a wonderful feeling. It brought a sense of sacredness to my consciousness and something in me shifted.

Two poems of mine that speak of this are below:

Enchanted

Birds sing sweeter

Trees dance

Through the wind

The sky glistens

Sunlight fills the day

The moon becomes my face

Stars burn brighter

Bees don’t sting

Flowers become

Beautiful colors of delight

Dancing on light

Everything

Looks sweet

                                  Upon My Soul  

On ground of sacred Earth

The ringing of bells

Can be heard

Calling us to remember

A truth veiled lightly

In a blanket of forgetfulness

I’ll find me there

Where angel’s songs

Upon my ears

Do greet the morning sun

And in the cracks

My worthiness

I left unkempt

In a long forgotten place

Sullen

The road more frequently traveled

When joy forgot her face

The child inside

A voice so long unheard

Safely tucked into the womb

Of love’s sweet arms

Woven of all that glitters

His Beauty Undisturbed

His beauty undisturbed

A sad bird cries

And echoes silently

Into waking rest

Come hither to me

Light does beckon

His soul does spy

An eyelid lifts

His vision new

On dawn’s uplifting view

And here he whispers

Of divine

A wisdom

Quiet and unspoken

May I know

What from your tongue

Sits heavy

And does not fall

Your heart

Its beating

A song unheard

But ears

That listen

Have heard

The beauty

You hold

Undisturbed

Blind Wolf

Sky of purple time

Filled of broken windows

Remain untouched

By the purity

Of a scented hand

That reaches

Outside of blue shores

Love-a blind wolf

Howls to a sacred moon

That longs

With tired birds

Of procrastination

Bringing passersby

Lonely hitchhikers

Timeless travelers

That fear not only

The coldness of winter’s thorns

But the openness of spring
