Conscious
To many words have been read,
Countless lies have been said.
Mistakes are made in despair,
Some people just aren't willing to repair.
Try to change and make amends.
Memories continue to haunt you,
And those from the past,
Have declared they are through.
Like a child in the middle of a dispute,
Angry words, schemes, and hurt.
You feel as if you were only used.
Pick up the pieces and move on.
For within your heart and soul,
You know the truth will never be gone.
Forgive and try to forget.
Until your conscious,
Haunts you with regrets.
