It is about me after all.
We all do our best to make it about us. I hope that is your intention. Ofcourse don't forget to advertise it. But don't make that your only reason for coming to yuwie.
What do I feel when I visit pages that are all about: downline, downline, downline, downline, downline, downline, downline, referrals, referrals, referrals, referrals, referrals, referrals, advertise, advertise, advertise, advertise, advertise, advertise, advertise, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., ...?
I feel that person is only here for that and it is like a blast of hot muggy air in your face after you have taken a shower and stepped outside.
We need to make friends on yuwie. Make our pages about ourselves. Sure advertise but don't let that be your main focus. After all we want people from Facebook, Friendster, MySpace, MyYearBook and a slew of social networking sites to come here and stay here. By showing that yuwie offers the same thing and that the pages are really about the people owning them, those people will stay with us. After they get comfortable maybe they'll see how cool it is to make some money. Heck, maybe they won't try at all and make some money anyways. That would be cool too.
I have a guy in my downline, he had 10,000 page views for February. How did he get them? Was his downline huge? No, he only had just under 13 people in it. What was his secret? Well, he made his page about him and his son. He posted pictures, blogs, videos, chatted with the commenters, has a news feed and a music feed too. He then goes to all the pages in his friends list daily and says hi or drops a pretty picture for them to enjoy and feel good about. Already, my pages view for this month are over 8,700 today. With that guy, the rest of our casual downlines and myself, just using yuwie to make it about ourselves, making it friendly and homey, we will rock yuwie this month and the rest of the months to follow.
All done without cramming advertising down anyone's throat.
Remember: People want to be where other people are friendly towards them? And if you treat your people like a sales team and yourself like a Sales manager, then you can expect those people to leave, because then yuwie won't be friendly to them.
Ofcourse, you should know what is working for you and be available to help and sure you should suggest it every so often, but it is not the focal point. The focal point is you. You want it friendly so people will want to be with you. People that are with you and like you may sign up under you. That would be cool too!
So yeah, it is about me isn't it?
