Hollywood, CA - DeFaire Creative Marketing Works, in collaboration with Jesse JaM, JaMMin Productions, and many others, announce the must-see event "United for a Cause - Fundraiser for Doug Kanegawa" on Wednesday, February 20^th at the incomparable Club Vanguard (6021 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028). Doug unfortunately suffered multiple strokes on January 17^th and is currently recovering in the hospital. Promotion and nightlife companies from across Los Angeles have thus come together to honor this pioneer of the nightlife industry. This alliance will present an evening of fashion, music, art and dance, all in a show of support for Doug Kanegawa, perhaps better known as "DMK" of DMK World.

"I'm happiest when I see success, the joy-filled excitement of the people of all cultures together in which I attempt to bring excitement to," says DMK. This red-carpet event will be co-hosted by Jesse JaM (Actor, Producer) and headlined by Satellite Party frontman, Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction, Lollapalooza, Porno for Pyros). Debuting in 2005 at the world-famous Keyclub (one of DMK's well-recognized venues), Satellite Party/Perry Farrell then performed at Lollapalooza in Chicago, and ultimately performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2007.

During DMK's multi-talented career as an illustrator, fashion and graphic designer, coordinator and marketing director, DMK also coordinated several dance events. With each weekly club specializing in a different crowd and vibe. DMK gained many TV networks, photos and write-ups from the likes of MTV News, Good Day LA, Channel 9 News, Fox11 News, LA Weekly, L.A. Times and Calendar, L.A. Nitelife Show, Independent Video Show, LA Auto Guide Magazine, Yolk and Transpacific Magazines. Publications listed as far as Tokyo, Japan, as well as magazines like Beat Freak, Cool Trans, Fine Magazine and Boom Magazine, also covered the events of DMK World.

Expected to attend include Taboo (Black Eyed Peas), Ruben Studdard (American Idol), and Anne Heche (Actor, Director, Screenwriter). Also performing will be the "Visionaries," "Frequency 5," and the dance sensations of "Jack Rabbit Flash and the ladies of Lace," "Mavyn Entertainment," "Breed," and top choreographers Free and Phlex. World-renowned DJ's Hideo, BStang, Rocky Rock, Tommy T, and Rhetmattic will be rocking the crowd, with the incredible go-go beauties, Aiko Tanaka and Sasha Singleton, captivating the audience.
