Love Hurts

Hi friends! Thanks for all the ratings, comments, and messages. I pray for you daily and hope God is blessing you with His love. The last time I wrote I had just started a new job and was in the process of looking for another one. Well, that was in January. Now it's May and I'm still working at Bi-Lo. It's been an interesting test. I work with women. That's not always a bad thing, but I get along well with men because of my love of sports. Also, I have 2 brothers and no sisters. lol Anyway, getting along with women day in and day out is sometimes a challenge. I have had to tell them I do not care to hear about their sex lives or anything of that sort. It's amazing, to me, how open women are in sharing intimate details to anyone who will listen. To me, that's personal and shouldn't be shared. Telling someone, or even showing someone, a private picture of a man...well -- I still can't believe it. Maybe I'm naive. What I have learned is that men are far more respectful towards women than we are towards each other. Women gossip, complain, and talk about anything and everything. Men, at least, are far less likely to share intimate details with a woman. I guess that's why it's easier for me to befriend a man than a woman. I know I won't hear that nonsense when talking with a man. lol This is probably not true for everybody. It's just true for me and my current situation.

Now for a prayer request or two. I have befriended a man that is in need of prayer. His name is Matt. He's lost both of his parents. His grandmother is dying. He has a brother who is not the best influence. He likes the girls. Worst, he has a drinking problem. He's a great guy who is in a lot of pain. I adore him. I ache for him. I listen to him. I consistently want to hug him. Jesus is the answer. Not girls or alcohol. I hope you'll pray for him and his brother.

Another friend has 2 children. He lost his drivers license. He also has a drinking problem that he is trying to get control of. His name is Shay. He's aware of his problems, but unaware of the role he has played in them. He's also at a loss on how to fix them. He needs to look in the mirror and realize God loves him, forgives him, etc.

Thank you for your prayers, love, support and friendship!

I HAVE TO SAY, I AM SOMEONE WHO IS NOT SHY TO DISCUSS MYSELF, I AM SOMEONE WHO LIKES TO SHARE WHERE AND WHAT I'VE DONE. I PRAY FOR YOUR FRIENDS, I ALSO PRAY THAT THAT THEY LOOK WITHIN THEMSELVES TO GET STRONGER, WE CAN'T DO IT FOR THEM, WE CAN CATCH THEM WHEN THEY FALL AND BRING THEM UP AGAIN.WE NEED TO BE REMINDED OF WHAT IS IN OUR LIVES AT THE MOMENT. WE NEED TO REALIZE THAT WE'RE HERE FOR A SHORT TIME AND, LIFE IS PRECIOUS. ALSO, WHATEVER DOESNT KILL US MAKES US STRONGER. I HAVE HOPE FOR PEOPLE WITH ADDICTIONS, I REALIZE THAT ALMOST 30% OF NORTH AMERICANS STRUGGLE WITH SOME FORM OF ADDICTION. WHO KNOWS, IT COULD BE YOUR BROTHER, SISTER, FATHER, MOTHER, EVEN MAYBE YOURSELF. POINT IS, THERE ARE PLACES WHERE PEOPLE CAN GO AND, WITH US BEHIND THEM, THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN ACCOMPLISH, WITH A LITTLE LOVE AND FAITH, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING. THOSE ARE MY THOUGHTS ON THIS.

I understand your thoughts on women. I have encountered the same at times and as much as I believe in women supporting each other and listening to each other, there is a line that should be drawn - especially, when it's someone you don't know well. I've never understood the idle chat and gossip with people you don't know. What's the point...?

My thoughts and prayers are with the people you have listed. I pray they turn to God and allow Him to give them strength and renewal.

((((hugs)))

Hi Mitsy, I too share your views about how some women can be. I have never liked gossip, sex talk, etc, I'm not a prude or anything but I believe some things are private and should remain so. I keep my distance from women who are extreme in their behavior. I will pray for Matt and Shay they have problems but God is able. He is more powerful than any problem on earth. I hope many will pray for theses men because pray changes things. And I somehow feel in my spirit that when you pray for those that you don't even know something miraculous happens, that is showing love of your fellowman in action.

I have prayed for these men and their families, and also for you. I would ask that you all pray for me in my job search(no luck so far) and also for my husband's salvation. Thank you and God bless!

It's so easy to tell people to lay it down and turn it over to God, but if they just would, it's amazing how FAST and how RIGHT He does things!! :) I hope these folks can do this.
