Hi Lee,

In response to your previous comment, you advised I should limit my eating habit during Thanksgiving or else you threaten to not make out with me. I have an important choice to make. Hmmm…either I put a tape over my mouth to restrict myself from over excessive eating, or I eat like a pig. Hard decision to make. Hehe…

Hi Lee,

In response to your last comment --- I have enough pink underwears to last me a long time. I counted 8 white underpants and 8 t shirts all stained with pink. At least when I wear my regular pants, nobody would know I have pink underpants on the inside, unless for some “act of miracle” my pants fell apart on me and exposing my pink underpants in public. Hehe…

Hi Lee,

In response to your last comment --- I am aware of American humor versus Chinese humor. In the states, we like to say something with respect to heaven, like “I must have gone to heaven…” when we see something we liked. In China the Chinese don’t like to talk about death. I guess being an “ABC”, I am still influenced by American’s thinking.

By the way I never talked about death in front of my Grandparents. Like you, they criticized me for talking about deathly matters.

Oh my gosh, Lee,

You are right. I am shocked. I now am an owner of many pink underwears through my mistake of mixing a red sock with my white underwears in the washer. Oh my….

Hehehe…

Hi Lee,

I did a bad mistake during my holiday today. When I was washing my white underwears in the washer machine, I didn’t see a red sock hidden among the clothes . When I pulled my clothes out of the washer, all my clothes were pink. Now I am force to wear pink underwear. Hehe…

Hi Lee,

Today is the start of my holiday vacation. We celebrate Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving Day, which is always celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November, the entire family gathered together for a feast. The center of attention is the Turkey. This is the one time of the year I have an excuse to gain weight without feeling guilty about it. So…if you see a pig walking towards you, it might be me. Hehe…

Hi Lee,

In your last comment you asked why I was not asleep yet. The answer is simple. Right now it is only 8:30 PM. You are 16 hours ahead of me. I am still awake around this time.

Hi Lee,

My grandmother since passed on. We buried my grandmother back in the village in China. Every time when I come back to Guangzhou area for my business trip, I always make note of visiting my grandmother’s burial site to pay my respect. I also observe the Chinese custom of burning incense and offering food placed in front of her tombstone. In a way, I still retain some of my Chinese heritage even though I am a Chinese from abroad.

Hi Lee,

You always thought American-Chinese lose their identities as Chinese. It depends on which American-Chinese you talked to. For some Chinese families in America, we have to speak in our native Chinese. That is why there are Chinese families who are bilingual because they spoke English and Chinese at home. Unfortunately I speak English with my siblings and parents, but Chinese to my Grandparents---Cantonese to my paternal and Mandarin to my maternal grandparents. (My mother is from Taiwan).
