This is a fanzine dedicated to Joe Strummer, and The Clash plus related bands and topics. So far I've managed to produce one issue and am currently trying to get issue two finished and printed and issue three should follow not long after.
Any Joe/Clash/punk/DIY or related contributions are welcome (as long as they're in English) and all contributers whose work is used will get a free copy of the finished issue. More about the zine
Disclaimer: despite the name I'm not looking for dates/romance - the zine's name comes from a music interviewer in the 80's describing Joe Strummer as (along the lines of) being "hopelessly romantic as usual" Pennie Smith calling The Clash romantics and Joe's self descr i ption as a hopeless romantic.
A beautiful quote from Joe
"we must be positive and know the truth is on our side,
music can turn people on to the beauty of a life still to be lived...we choose to not take anymore and not be miserable." Antonino D'Ambrosio interview April 2002 from Let fury Have The Hour
(beautiful tribute in Falcon Liricas' Amazon review)
Thanks for your comments. And I'm not sure what is going on with Narple! It's been down for the last two days. The site had not been 'officially' launched yet, so I'm hoping that it gets fixed...I was just learning my way around the site!
Thanks for the add! GUD (pronounced "good") is a print/pdf magazine of 200 pages of genre and literary fiction, poetry, and a splash of art. :) See our profile for information on reviews, freebies, and submission guidelines!
